Please introduce yourself briefly: Who are you and how did you come to iSYS?

Hi, I’m Pilar. I’m from Spain and I studied Computer Science at the University of Cantabria in the north of Spain. I then spent a year abroad at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma in the United States. This year I started my Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the KU Leuven in Belgium. During my computer science studies in Cantabria, I met my current colleague Anne Sophie, who was doing an Erasmus programme in Spain at the time, and we became really good friends. When she heard that I was looking for a job in a software company, she recommended iSYS to me. I applied and… here I am!

What are your tasks at iSYS?

I am currently responsible for the front end of the projects in the Activity Team and try to learn as much as possible in the process. The Academy team is the perfect way for me to start my career.

What excites you most about your job?

I really like the working atmosphere at the Academy. Everyone is really nice and always willing to help if you need it. I immediately felt welcome. I also like getting into the real working day and working on projects that teach me new skills

What can new team members expect when they join iSYS?

With a warm welcome. Every effort is made to ensure that you quickly make friends and feel at home.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I like to read books, listen to music, watch Netflix and explore new places. I love travelling and meeting new people from all over the world!
