Lisa | Apprentice IT specialist for application development

Please introduce yourself briefly: Who are you and how did you come to iSYS?

I’m Lisa, 25, and I’m currently in the 2nd year of my IT specialist apprenticeship. I came across iSYS via a careers portal, and after a brief research into the company, I applied here too. A personal meeting finally convinced me. (and apparently iSYS was also impressed by me 😉 )

What are your tasks at iSYS?

I am currently in the Academy team and involved in the development of a new internal application. My focus there is on front-end development in particular, and until three weeks ago I was also the team’s Scrum Master.

What excites you most about your job?

Learning something new every day and always ‘having’ to face new challenges. So it never gets boring and you never stop learning. It’s also a great feeling when you can finally see your results (sometimes after days of tinkering).

What can new team members expect when they join iSYS?

A great team! Lots of nice colleagues, everyone is always ready to help. That’s great, especially when you’re still learning and everything is new. We also help each other a lot in the Academy, but when tricky problems arise, it often only helps to ask an experienced developer.

What do you do in your free time?

I like running (I’ll be back at the start of the next B2Run!), sewing and knitting. Of course, my interest in software development doesn’t stop at work either 😉

And finally, would you like to share a playlist with us?
