Meet The Team: Flo

Flo | 28 years old | IT specialist for application development

Please introduce yourself briefly: Who are you and how did you come to iSYS?

Hi, I’m Flo and I completed my retraining as an IT specialist for application development in February. Before that, I had trained as a mechatronics technician for plants and systems, but I wanted to reorient myself professionally. The outbreak of Covid-19 gave me the opportunity to take part in a retraining programme. As I had already been involved in programming simple mechanical and electronic systems during my previous vocational training and really enjoyed it, it quickly became clear to me which direction I wanted to take with the retraining programme.

What are your tasks at iSYS?

I currently work in the iSYS training department, the Academy Team. This in turn works on small to large internal projects. For example, we are currently implementing a new function in the company’s own time and project management system, Activity. Since the beginning of the month, I have also been part of a customer project at IFCO.

What excites you most about your job?

Implementing requirements in programming language, solving complex problems and the great cooperation in the Academy team, which is managed according to Scrum.

What can new team members expect when they join iSYS?

iSYS definitely offers a very pleasant working environment. The flat hierarchy is what I like the most. I also like the fact that there are so many very experienced colleagues around me who I can take a leaf out of my book!

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, cycling or spending time playing PC games.
