During the introduction of a modern data platform based on Microsoft Fabric, iSYS supported a company from the automotive industry from the initial concept to productive operation. The focus was on the simplification of complex data flows, the automation of manual processes and the direct utilisation of consolidated data for analysis and reporting. Close cooperation with internal IT and specialist departments ensured customised implementation and sustainable integration into existing system landscapes.

The challenge

With growing data volumes and increasing demands for transparency and speed, the existing reporting and data infrastructure was reaching its limits. Data was stored in different systems, was interpreted differently and led to contradictory results in reporting. Specialist departments were working with their own solutions, centralised governance was lacking and the implementation of new requirements often took too long. The aim was to establish a modern platform that would consolidate data, standardise processes and pave the way for a scalable, future-proof analytics ecosystem.

The solution

Central platform for all data
With Microsoft Fabric, a standardised data platform has been set up that automatically combines information from different systems such as ERP, CRM and Excel. This means that all relevant data is available in one place. As a result, employees work with up-to-date, consistent data and avoid duplicate maintenance or manual imports.
Automated processes reduce effort
Recurring tasks such as data cleansing, conversion and merging were mapped via automated data pipelines. This saves time, reduces the error rate and significantly relieves the burden on the specialist departments. The data is up-to-date and standardised, ready for analysis and reporting.
Reports directly from the platform
Thanks to the direct connection to Power BI, dashboards and reports can be created directly from Microsoft Fabric. Manual exports are no longer necessary. Users can access current key figures at any time, for example on turnover, stock levels or customer data, and can make informed decisions.
