New customer: iSYS supports eep in the implementation of AI solutions

We are delighted to welcome eep Energieconsulting GmbH, another renowned client, to our portfolio. With offices in Munich, Cologne and Vienna, eep supports large and small companies throughout Europe with advice and solutions in the areas of energy, the environment and sustainability.

More efficiency and automation with the help of AI

eep wants to use artificial intelligence (AI) to support its employees with effective tools to automate tedious and time-consuming activities as far as possible and thus reduce the workload. It is important to at least maintain the high quality standards and allow employees more time to contribute their expertise to more value-adding activities, such as advising customers. To ensure comprehensive protection of sensitive customer data, this data should not leave the company and should be processed in strict isolation. To this end, we are designing and developing an in-house AI system that is geared towards sustainability, cost and energy efficiency in line with eep’s objectives.

As its first concrete project, iSYS is developing a wizard that helps employees to complete grid connection applications – eep submits hundreds of these for its customers every year. Due to a lack of uniform standards, this has so far been a manual, time-consuming and error-prone process. Each of the more than 800 German network operators has its own form, the field labels are different and the user guidance is not standardised. The goal is a smart solution that is flexible, scalable and intelligent enough to handle this complexity. Thanks to a customised browser extension, the AI assistant integrates seamlessly into the energy expert’s workflow.

Our services include both strategic consulting on the use of AI and the development of customised, AI-based tools. As part of our consulting services, we also organise training courses to anchor the practical use of AI in the company. The overarching goal is to build up AI expertise within the company in the long term, to develop it further internally and to be able to apply it independently of the service provider. We accompany the customer on this path and actively contribute to sustainable process optimisation.

Energy consulting in transition – between skills shortages and digitalisation

Energy consulting companies are faced with the challenge of analysing ever larger volumes of data efficiently, while at the same time there is a shortage of skilled staff and customers increasingly expect fast, customised solutions. Time-consuming manual processes tie up resources that are scarce in day-to-day business. This is precisely where the use of AI unfolds its potential: intelligent systems take over time-consuming analyses, summarise data, generate data visualisations and support the creation of extensive documents. This means that consulting services can not only be provided more efficiently, but also in a more scalable and customer-centred way – a real added value in a market that is under high pressure to innovate and reduce costs.
