Lukas | Full Stack Developer

Please introduce yourself briefly: Who are you and how did you come to iSYS?

Hello, my name is Lukas and I have been with iSYS for over 5 years now. I started here during an internship semester while studying computer science, then continued as a working student, and joined the company full-time after completing my bachelor’s thesis.

What are your tasks at iSYS?

I am working as a full-stack software developer on one project. This involves clarifying requirements with the customer, setting up CI-CD pipelines and, of course, further developing the software application itself. In my second project, the focus is on application management and project management, i.e. I support the customer in the operation of IT applications, ensure their correct configuration and maintenance, and adapt interfaces. In doing so, I work closely with the specialist departments, the customer’s IT department and external service providers.

What excites you most about your job?

The job combines technical and interpersonal aspects: I enjoy direct contact with customers, but I also love working with colleagues to develop technical solutions. As we are a service provider, you have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of customers and technologies, overcome challenges and grow as a result. And in general, the IT world is constantly changing, which makes the job exciting and varied in the long term.

What can new team members expect when they join iSYS?

Open-minded colleagues who treat you as an equal and make every effort to ensure you settle in successfully. Even after that, you can count on collegial support whenever you need it.

What do you do in your free time?

In short: lots of music, lots of sport! I really enjoy jogging outdoors in nature, going to the gym, or hiking in the mountains with friends. Otherwise, I love rocking folk festivals on the drums with my party band or playing concerts with the brass band. Recently, I have also taken up photography.
