The Challenge

The quality of heating water is crucial for system operation and compliance with legal standards. HVAC technicians are under pressure: they have to carry out precise measurements regularly, calibrate correctly and document all values seamlessly.

Until now, this has been a manual, error-prone process with a high repetition rate and an insufficient degree of digitalisation. Especially the interpretation of values in relation to the respective standards was an additional hurdle. This is precisely where our customer UWS comes in – with a mobile app that is easy to use, brings immediate benefits and can be flexibly enhanced over time.

Our common goal: an attractive digital product that quickly solves real problems and, thanks to user feedback, constantly improves.

The Solution

Mobile app as a digital assistant

Our app turns an involved measuring procedure into a guided digital process. The user interface has been specially designed for use in HVAC – intuitive, visually clear and reduced to the essentials. Even complex processes such as calibrations can be carried out safely and step by step.

Real-time data via BLE

Thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication, the app automatically connects to the measuring device. The measurement data for pH value and conductivity is transferred, interpreted and saved immediately – no manual steps and no risk of forgetting something.

Flexible data acquisition

Depending on requirements, the technician can also flexibly record further analyses using the camera and text input – along with the appropriate measurement unit. This allows the documentation to be supplemented to suit every installation.

Rapid benefits thanks to MVP approach

The app was implemented as an MVP with the Lean Development method: reduced to the key functions, but with concrete added value. Early user feedback allows the solution to be evolved in a practical way – efficiently, cost-effectively and with a real focus on the HVAC target group.
